BetaShares FTSE 100 ETF (F100) — Review & Analysis
F100 offers exposure to the UK FTSE 100 ETF, tracking the 100 largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. AUM is $430.30 million as at May 2026 with a 0.45% p.a. management fee. Compare F100 across the Europe cohort on our Europe ETF page, or use the Compare ETFs tool to put it side-by-side with IEU or ESTX.
The FTSE 100 has a distinctive composition that sets F100 apart from broader Europe funds. Top holdings include AstraZeneca, Shell, HSBC, BP, Unilever, Rio Tinto, GSK and Diageo — heavily skewed toward global multinationals headquartered in London but earning most revenue overseas. The result is that F100 trades less like a pure UK economic exposure and more like a global commodities, energy and consumer staples bet, with strong dividend yield characteristics (UK FTSE 100 typically yields 3.5-4.5%).
F100's closest peers are IEU (which includes UK names within the broader Europe 350 at roughly 22% UK weight) and VEQ (Vanguard's FTSE Europe with similar UK weighting). For investors specifically wanting concentrated UK large-cap exposure rather than diluted European-region access, F100 is the dedicated option. The currency-hedged sister product H100 (0.48% MER) removes the GBP/AUD effect.
F100 is unhedged for currency. The fund pays semi-annual distributions reflecting underlying dividend income. Our hedged vs unhedged ETFs guide covers the F100 vs H100 decision and broader hedging frameworks across asset classes.
